The Evo-CF product was initially developed exclusively with Audi AG for the TT Roadster and utilises a chrome-free and heavy metal-free tannage to comply with the latest requirements for specific brands in the automotive industry.

It features a super lightweight, soft touch characteristic for specialised car components, especially gear knobs, gear bags, door handles, etc. The strength of the kangaroo base material allows ease of component manufacture, including those that are complicated in design, resulting in final products that are world class in every aspect.

Its short-fibre flesh side also assists with this. Different substance (thickness) leathers are available to suit particular components, but generally range between 0.7 – 1.0mm.

The aqueous (hydro) finish is based around a hybrid system of high performance polyurethane and acrylic polymers. However, the finishing system of the leather still allows the natural grain to be seen and, more importantly, felt.

At present the standard product colour is matt black, although we can produce this leather in any colour desired. Also special effect coatings such as metallics, iridescents, etc are possible.

To complement this leather we can offer the Kool (IR reflectance technology) and DurateK (high abrasion resistance) technologies. The respective technical data sheets are listed on our website in the Technical section. Other technologies such as MicrobloK (anti-microbial) and Konstant (PCM technology) could also be considered.

It is exciting to see a “World First” in this raw material being used for high performance componentry outside of the usual athletic leather market.
