Packer
Leather has developed the new advanced Defender Mk I bovine hi-tech
footwear leather in a nubuck finish to offer superior footwear performance.
This leather is currently being used by elite militaries, such as
the Australian Defence Force, in various footwear models.
Modern
day requirements upon leather articles require high durability and
abrasion resistance properties. This is especially true in athletic
and military products designed for use in increasingly demanding conditions.
The
Evo-CF product was initially developed exclusively with Audi AG
for the TT Roadster, and utilises a chrome-free and heavy metal-free
tannage to comply with the latest requirements for specific brands
in the automotive industry.
The
K-100 Gloving Leather range from Packer Leather boasts hitech technologies
designed for all sports, hobbies and pastimes, including golf, baseball
and motorcycling. It is also the choice of a number of special forces
around the globe for use in high performance military gloves. 
K-Athletic
Leather is a super performance milled soft nappa, generally with
a matt appearance. The leather exhibits a very fine natural break,
and offers extremely high tensile strength with superlightweight
properties, unparalleled by any other leather substrate on the market.
The
Roolite product is made from a kangaroo skin of slightly lower substance
(thickness) than the full weight K-Athletic product. However, due
to the immense strength of the unique kangaroo fibre structure,
the strength values are still well above athletic upper physical
test standards from sports brands. 
Konstant
TM thermoregulating leather incorporates Smart Fabric TechnologyTM
by Outlast, a microencapsulated Phase Change Materials (mPCM's)
originally developed for NASA. This perpetual technology is based
upon mPCM’s, called “Thermocules®”, which have
a range of melting and crystallisation (i.e. freezing) points. 
It
is well known that on sunny days "dark" means hot temperatures, and
this generalisation influences our colour choices from cars to apparel
items such as motorcycle jackets. However, there is more scientific
reasoning behind the “dark-hot” association, related
to the absorption and reflection rates of solar radiation outside
of the visible wavelength range of light.
Packer
Leather’s Motorcycle Finished (MCF) kangaroo product is a
hi-tech leather, which can be finished with effect coatings to provide
any colour or appearance, including pearls, metallics, chromes,
iridescents and other customised designs. 
As
a result of increasing consumer demand, Packer Leather has recently
developed MicrobloK, an innovative anti-microbial treatment for
our leather products. The technology uses state of the art, sophisticated
inorganic chemistry to kill bacteria (and prevent leather deterioration)
without unwanted toxicity.
