Queensland Government Community
Company Kicks Goal
A Caboolture leather manufacturing company, which produces kangaroo
leather used to make around one million pairs of football shoes
each year, has been congratulated by Minister for State Development
and Innovation Tony McGrady.
"Packer Leather is an excellent example of an innovative Queensland
company which has developed a strong export market for the Smart
State and created valuable jobs, in this case in the Caboolture/Redcliffe
region," Mr McGrady told last month's Community Cabinet meeting
held at Caboolture.
Mr McGrady said Packer Leather had received State Government assistance
last year. "A grant for $48,303 was approved under the Queensland
Industry Development Scheme for the company to improve its already
substantial export success," he said.
